    Inov8 Xtalon 225

Picked up a pair of these on friday and initial impressions are very good.
Far comfier than the 212's I had before. Nice slipper like feel on the foot, very secure at the heal and they feel like they have slightly more room in the toe box even though they are still the "precision fit". Dual compound sole feels very sticky so i'm expecting an improvement on the already excellent grip of the 212. 4mm drop, and ample cushioning. I'll give a further report once I've had a fair few outings in them.

Well they were pretty impressive until the toe bumper started to peel from the upper at 20 miles use. Guess this could be a one off issue but they've gone back and I've now got some Salomon speeds.

Sounds like iniv8 are still having the same old durability problems. A real shame as I hoped the new range would have solved some of it
