no: it's all open access. With a nice National Trust tearoom in Cardingmill Valley.are there any restrictions on reccies?
It's pay and display parking there, too, so take some change if you're planning on parking near the start.

....it's all downhill from here.
Very nearly full now.
A few of you have asked about substitutions. If you can't run but can find a substitute this is ok, but NOT ON THE DAY!!! You must put the substitution through SI - I have just changed the settings to facilitate this.
I will hopefully get an email with some basic info out to all competitors today. The most important things are:
Registration is in Church Stretton School
The free car park for the race is behind the school
*** VERY IMPORTANT ***
We have had to move CP5 slightly so there is mobile phone reception. The location we are using is as per the grid reference given on the Mercia site but not as shown on the current Pete Bland / Harvey Race Map.
The new location is the green circle on the extract below - at the junction of a small re-entrant and the main gully. It's on the line most people would actually use to reach Minton Batch anyway but please be careful and DO NOT miss this CP:
Amended location for CP5.jpg
Hi all are race maps available on the day?
Cheers Pete, wasn't sure if the van was tipping up.
Van deffo coming! Spoke to Jon Broxap today and they have about 80 copies of the map left. Best ring if you haven't got one: because there's a commercial map we won't be giving out any, and a map (suitable for navigating the course) is part of mandatory kit. No map, no run.
Just to clarify - we won't be suppying maps because there is a commercial one - you need to get your map from Blands.
The rest of the info is here:

See you all in the morning :-)
Hoping to see your smiling faces on CP7 tomorrow....it's just before a lovely descent.
Which is just before the hellish last climb
....it's all downhill from here.
