Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

Stateing the bleeding obvious! If you want to see more wildlife stand still - or even sit with a cup of coffee. But if you rarely care for birds, jogging or walking will help.

Most of the birds I meet when walking are difficult to judge cos they're covered in goretex and brasher boots...#mingerormint.

Grouse can give you a real fright when you nearly stand on them at night -so it must be pretty stressful for them with a head torch bearing down on them. So don't creep up on Grouse. I don't. Not any more.

They can give me a fright when they are hidden in the heather and I nearly stand on them in daytime! I tend to think of grouse as a cross between a partridge and a landmine.

I remember the time i got attacked by a Black Grouse near the summit of Capplestone Gate, the bugger nearly had my eyes out. The can give as good, i'll say that.
