Stan Bradshaw 2017

Following the kind donation of this stunning trophy (as pictured) by Linda and Peter Lord that was last used in the late 80’s for the Witches Clough Fell Race, I am pleased to announce a new trophy and voucher prize for the Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round.

Having discussed with Linda, who knew Stan himself we have decided to award the trophy and a Pete Bland Voucher to the first U23 home on the day (male or female). Linda tells me that Stan was always very encouraging of younger runners on the fells (and in general!) so it seems fitting that this solid slate trophy be awarded on an annual basis to the fastest young’un completing the race.

Entries remain open until the end of Febuary for £5 with entry on the day going for £7.

Thank you to Colin and all his marshals and helpers at today's race. Not forgetting the local farmers, the Hargreaves family for letting us use their land.
Bit wet underfoot in parts but nice to have a bit of blue sky.
