    Pennine way record 2017

Pavel paloncy is to have a go at the record on the weekend 24/25th June, He's done the spine race for the last couple of years so knows the route well enough. Be interesting to see if can do it.

Is that as part of the Spine Summer Race? I understand it starts on this weekend...

No its separate as he's using a support crew and pacers/navigators.

Do you know which direction he is going? Most of the previous record attempts have been N-S, but Pavel knows it well the other way.

You would think it should be easier running down hill.
Just the prevailing winds need to be taken into consideration.

We saw him at Wessy Head and again on the Standedge Trail near the A62 cutting. He was moving well and had completed 26 miles in around five hours.
