I turned out and paid my fiver on what was a great day to be running up and down(and up and down) a hill.
Treated it as a Sunday run rather than a race and had a lovely time.
Great views, great atmosphere, well organised and a lovely low key comparator to the clubmate I was tracking slogging round the FLAT streets of that London. The ascent back up the South Cheshire Way had me walking virtually all the way.

I liked it so much I parked at the castle/folly today and ran down to Biddulph, up the Biddulph Valley Way then back via the Gritstone over Congleton Edge and Cheshire's Close. 8.5 easy lovely miles at my own pace.

Happily The Ash Inn was open and serving Doom Bar...
    Best Wishes
