    Swede looking for maps

    Hi everyone!
I'm a swede that are going to the peak district to do some fell running this coming may. I was there in 2013 with a friend and I ran the Burbage skyline, Rainow 5 and the May Queen. I had great time running in the beautiful nature there. This year I'm going back and I'm planning to run the following races: Shining Tor, Tansley, Mount famine and Trunce 4. Can somebody please let me know if there's any maps available for the routes so I can have a look at them before hand?

Ed Gimble, If you read this, hope to meet you in Hayfield again this coming may!

    Best,

    /Goran

    Hi Goran,

Here's a link to the Shining Tor race route

And hopefully a map of the Mount Famine route - Mount Famine race route.jpg

Hmm, that didn't work very well. If you send me your email address I can email a bigger picture.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks for that. I managed to find the Shining Tor one, but not the Mount Famine map. However, it's too small to read properly. Do you have a link to it?

    Thanks!

    Hi Goran,

No, sorry, it's just on my PC. If you let me have your email address I can either send you the .png file or a .gpx if that's any use.

There are bits of the Trunce on private land so you can only access them on race day...
Don't worry too much about the route just run as hard as you can..if you are quick you will see the tail enders doing the first river crossing as you cross for the last time...400+ runners last time

I have won truce twice, both times I muffed up the route at the top of the woodland. Oops!
