Hoping to head up to Skye late May/early June for the best part of a week, finishing in Fort Bill for the downhill MTB World Cup.
I've only been to Skye once, to do the Cuillin Ridge, so wondered if I could subscribe to the knowledge of the forum to help me plan the best itinerary for 3-5 days on the isle. My wife hasn't been before so i'm keen to make sure she enjoys it, but we'll have 2 very young noise wombles with us, so rolling around the distillery (or the Cuillin Ridge again) won't be an option. Thinking mostly of pleasant walks and the sights we need to see. Possibly will also have use of a bike trailer for the wombles, but would need to be gentle stuff as it would be their first time in it.
What's worth the trip, and what's overrated?
Fairy Pools? Old Man of Storr? Dunvegan? Quiraing?
Thinking of maybe stopping in Glencoe on the way to break the trip up for the kids, been there loads of times, but is there anywhere else I should stopover instead?
Travelling from Yorkshire.
