Haven't done BookFace for around 6 years. I was only on there for around 12 months. Never posted anything and got sick & tired of my e-mail in-box being inundated with prompts that 'Bill' or 'Bert' or 'Fred' was bored and about to brew-up. Likewise with Twitter ..... people re-tweeting someone else's messages? Obviously wannabees attempting to bask in another's reflected moment of glory.
A presence on 'social media' totally undermines the authenticity of a GOM, Come on Simon, ditch it if you are for real.

    Or dont you go there?[/QUOTE]
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Never looked at any facebook page somehow I have never felt the need to, probably because the real world has always provided me with all the answers I have needed.
As far as I am concerned the virtual world can not be trusted unless there is a GPS trace to back it up

I've been grumpy for a while about the flooding of Thruscross Reservoir, which lost us the village of West End. I feel that it would have been a prime location to call in for a spot of tea or a pint when out on foot or on the bike. I'm putting together a team to break the dam and i'm looking for volunteers, preferably grumpy old sods with bomb building experience.
    Can't climb for toffee...
