Is raboldi possibly referring to the Dales Way? If so, I have found this: https://m.facebook.com/ilkleychat/po...48510088570601

Don't know where those folk in that link got their "fastest known times" from??

Look at this old thread:- http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...alesway+Record

I can remember reading of Dennis Beresford's original exploits in the first FRM that dropped through our letter box back in January 1984.

Just been 'googling'. The Dales Highway is a totally different route to the Dales Way - I recall seeing it on some modern (well, a lot more modern than mine) maps:- http://www.daleshighway.co.uk/route.htm

Dave Dixon, Matt Neale and Mark Collinson did it in 26hrs 15 mins last November. That was the quickest. Doubt it's been beaten

Not knocking the guys for doing something that is way beyond me; but it does seem a 'soft' record for a 90 mile route when the Dalesway at 80 miles has a record of around 13 hours?

    Hi
Yep, the above is correct, Dave , mark and myself had a run out last November. We started about 8pm on a Friday and finished the following evening in Appleby. The last few years we have run the Dales Way in mid Nov so had a change last year. Good route info on the Dales Highway website. We did plenty of nattering, eating, and putting the world to rights, hence the 26hrs.... A more interesting route than the Dales Way in my opinion. Not sue what were up to this November, best get planning.

    Matt
