    Omm

Just wondering if there's any doing OMM this year. I've entered Short Score with Mrs tfg! We are taking it very steady tbh. It'll be a case of pick up 'cheap' points around the start then head over to the overnight camp and see what we can pick up over there, keeping as low as we can. It's just a 'bit of fun' to see if Mrs tfg enjoys it at all....and to get a 50 Year Anniversary t-shirt and car sticker!!

Looking forward to it. Last did it in 92/93ish! Both times in Southern Scotland.

    Good luck ba-ba!

With my poor record of only 33% successful completion in the Elite in the last decade (2 successes, 3 failures, 1 abandoned) I'll be doing the Long Score instead this year.

Indeed good luck ba-ba and Billj. Looked on site and my two previous efforts were '93 Upper Nithsdale and Queensbury Hills, then '94 St Marys Loch. I had an entry for '96 for Galloway Forest Park but broke my wrist and, on advice, withdrew. All previous where B category I think, so fairly lowly!

Another recreational short score team here, with my OH who's a first timer but I suspect will be better at it than she realises yet. I started training yesterday. She's threatening to bring fairy lights for the tent!

I'll look out for that at overnight camp!! We'll be in a Mountain Equipment AR Ultralight. I think that's what it is...never used it in 'anger' yet!!? Though I have put it up to check I can, and that its got no issues!!

We are doing long score (first time for score)as we usually do B and that seems to have disappeared, with A being too long for partner and ‘new’ being too short
I am sure we will struggle with the score olanning

Following a sudden rush of blood to the head, we entered elite this year! Even before I got injured last month the chances of actually completing were slim, but you only live once so what the heck...

Well that was a tough weekend. I ended up dropping off the hill when knew we would be timed out with couple of checkpoints remaining.

    How did others do?

Have to admit pretty surprised it was not the bad weather course on Saturday. Completion rates on linear courses was pretty low.

We made it to checkpoint 6 on elite, which took 6 hours and was less than half way so the chances of finishing before course closure were non-existent. So we cut our losses and headed for the ODG.
Yes, I was surprised they didn't use the bad weather courses. I expect the directors reports later in the week will give their reasoning!
