going to be cracking fun!
Nic Barber. Downhill Dandy
Too right ba-ba. Been looking forward to it all week. It's going to be rather wet and slippery though as it's melting.
Can't wait :0) see you all in the scout hut in the morning.
Hello KT'ers - Update....
We have a significant problem with Parking as the Parking Area by the Hut is currently a sledge run, so I'm advising people to park at the Bus Station (off Station Road - about 5mins walk from the Hut), although there is a charge for this.
Please do your very best to Car Share.
The Village Streets are also rather snowy & parked up; but the roads have been Snow Ploughed, with some significant piles of snow obstructing parts of the roads and pavements - so, please give yourselves plenty of time to cater for this.
The Course has been significantly shortened - due to the deep snow, meaning it will be tough going and please make sure you have all the right kit, "Full Kit" as per FRA Requirements, plus some extra too!!!
See you in the morn' and please bring your shovel too :-)
Oh Yes and the Kontrols are all out and hopefully where they should be too ;-)
Miss Muddy Paws Dad....
Not clever & often stupid..
PS Please bring pins too....for your Numbers that is...race box only has a few!!!!

Cheers Andy and co for another kracker. Anti clockwise for me. It seemed a 50/50 split with direction choice. Plenty of forumites out today. Good to meet Tindersticks and Sam W.
Back home in Chorley and there isn't a hint of any snow, even Winter Hill is pretty sparse of the white stuff.
It's hard to believe that a few hours ago less than an hour from home I was waist deep at one point. Was it fun? To right it was...running down a hill in deep snow and falling with a full body plant certainly brings out the child in you. I couldn't stop smiling for most of this event, it was magical.
When the sun came out the views were amazing...Britnick will hopefully have photographic evidence.
Loads of formites about, good to meet William and Sam.
Cheers to Andy and his team of helpers. Cracking route Andy, given the conditions hats off to you mate. I clocked the course at just over 9 miles and I lost count of how many cakes were in the scout hut....beltin.
