    Spine Race 2018

The Spine starts this weekend. Always fantastic to keep an eye on this. As fantastic as the Dragon's Back is to watch, because the Spine is a straight race rather than a stage race, it makes things so interesting.

At least one forum member in the Challenger, and not sure about the full race.

I'll be watching with interest with a view to future events. Some of the "big names" appear to be in it again this year.

My wife is running the full race again, but as it's unsupported this year, I'll be watching the tracker too, rather than driving to the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night in my Mondeo.

As well as the previous winners, this looks a great field with Winter round specialist Jim Mann, 2016 Tor des Geants winner Oliviera Bosatelli and 2017 Euphoria del Cims winner Julian Morcillo. In the women's race there were a a couple of the top 20 females from the 2017 Tor des Geants (Daphne Derouch and Harriet Kjaer) showing in the roster earlier in the week as coming to challenge Carol (although the French woman is not on the tracker page now).

Good luck to all whether they’re doing the full or the fun run - btw is 2019 a typo?

I guess it is Tupster, they do get a bit confused down in Coventry.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Yes it was a typo, I always get confused at the start of the year! Unfortunately I don't know how to edit a thread title... I've marked up documents as 2017, 2018 and 2019 already this year at work...

Didn't realise Jim Mann was racing. I'll be cheering him on from behind the screen, hoping he can "do it for the Fellrunners!"

It took me a few days to ‘get into 2018’ at work too 😉

I can see the following fellrunners...

Bill Johnson - CVFR - 168 spine race
    Andy Armstrong - Clayton - 304 -challenger
    Nick Olzewski - Clayton - 391 -challenger

    Good luck to them all.
