    PBR - Pont Cae'r Gors?

Does anyone know the current situation regarding access up the drive / around the side of Pont Cae'r Gors, please? I've never been up there and don't want to start upsetting people if it's no longer 'the done thing' (although I'm not sure what the alternatives are, if it's not!). Thanks.

I don't know the current situation regarding access up the drive but can suggest an alternative: cross the fence on the right near the gate and carry on to Craig Wen on that side.

We were stopped by a bloke in a land-rover last year when we were walking up the drive. We now always use the route suggested above by Yiannis. It's always very wet, but at least it's open access and doesn't upset anyone.

Thank you both - I wasn't sure how many walls that entailed clambering over, or whether there were gates/gaps to facilitate access.

You're basically heading for the ROW footpath at SH 589 507 and this does mean carefully climbing a wall or two on the way.
