    Doctor's Gate 25th March

I'm struggling to find any further details for the Doctor's Gate fell race on the 25th March, other than what is published in the handbook i.e. route, how to pre-enter etc. Does anyone know anything about it? The link from the race details page doesn't shed much light.

    Thanks.

Check Glossop Fell Races on Facebook.
Des is pretty low key/old school so it'll be eod and info will be available just before the race. Probably!

Nick, that seems a contradiction in terms 'on Facebook' & 'low key / old school' just don't mesh.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Ok, the aproach is low key, the way of presenting it maybe not so much (probably due to ease!).

Ok, I can give you an outline of the route.

    Queens - Old Glossop
    Doctor's Gate
    Crooked Clough
    Higher Shelf Stones
    Lower Shelf Stones
    James Thorn
    Ashton Clough
    Doctor's Gate Track then
    Back up James Thorn
    Ferney Hole
    Yellowslacks
    Dog Rock
    Glossop Low
    Cock Hill
    Queens

But don't ask me about pre-entry, because I don't know! Try emailing Des.

Ok, so you don't need to contact Des, as I've done it for you.

If you wish to enter on the day can you send Des an email to say that's what you want to do so that he can have an idea on numbers to book the food.

If you wish to pre-enter with the usual entry form and cheque then he'll know who's coming.
