I don't want to speak 'out of turn' but quite gob-smacked that nothing has appeared on here regarding this weekend's successful record attempt?

I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!
71 I presume?
Did he do it then? 72 I heard. Amazing if he did.
That's 90mins faster than my round at the age of 46
I'm assuming that it's our mutual acquaintance Ian? With this weather it's like a home from home

Without me you'd be one place nearer the back
They are openingly saying his name on Bob Graham facebook group, so I am not giving away any secrets. Ken Taylor.
Well done Ken Taylor! Unbelievable!
Yes, I was at Honister awaiting another attempt when Ken (Rossendale Harriers) arrived off L4 accompanied by Tindersticks of this parish and Scoffer (looked like he was wearing a pyjama jacket in proper BG style) .
It was obviously going to be a sub 23 round - a man of half Ken's age would have been proud of the 22:21 in the prevailing heatwave.
Ken has overcome some incredible setbacks over the years to both regain then maintain his fitness. Hard as nails. He has 'raised the bar' by 4 years for this particular BG record.
Honister was something of a fellrunning 'celeb fest' with Billy Bland and Martin Stone there to 'give him a shout' and FRA chairman Nick Harris and Claire on road support.
Chapeau Ken, a truly worthy record breaker.
