sports massage ? at bigger events ?
yeah,i've had a few when i was struggling with my calves and they make a big difference,i would recommend to someone who is injured but after a race a bit of a strech and a pint is the best thing to do
I've seen massages offered at big events, but the queue is usually so long that I can't be bothered and I trundle back to the car.
Does my bum look big in this?
A thorough and effective 'cool-down' consisting of light cardiovascular work (walking!) for a few minutes as well as sustained gentle stretching of 10 secs duration for each major muscle group of the entire body would probably be more effective at preventing/lessening the dreaded DOMS over the following 48 hrs than massage....although not as pleasurable admittedly!!
No pain no gain...if still no gain try more painkillers!
