It's a "perigee moon", the biggest in almost 20 years.

14% according to NASA, i can see the difference here.

I've seen the moon looking bigger than it does tonight, I'm 100% on that. Just looked out now and it looks normal to me

My 6 year old son yesterday called us into the front room to "look at the moon, it's beautiful" I think he must have noticed a difference.

Reminds me of the story of the top classical violinist pretending to be an ordinary busker - she was playing her Stradivarius - most people ignored her but one young child had to be physically dragged away she was so enchanted - children notice more than we realize.
