Anthony I think i'm a mirror image of yourself at the moment. Calf injury a couple of weeks ago, bug last week, and calf done in again last weekend, so more enforced rest. So frustrating, as I've been itching to really push on with training. But with the long distance escapades coming up, I can't afford to risk any injuries so got to be sensible at the moment (which is proving difficult and irritating!)

Get off your backside, you young bloater.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

You might just have shamed me into a run out Wheezing Ian. I’m thinking maybe September. I’ve actually lost nearly half a stone since end of 2017 by skipping breakfast, and taking out Tuss out most days

Day 6 of resting after feeling a twinge in my calf muscle last Friday; didn't want to risk making anything worse before the Brecon Fans this weekend. Actually, when I say "resting", I mean not running; I have been out on the bike a couple of times. Not sure what a race will feel like after 8 days of not running: either I will be full of energy, or my legs will have trouble remembering what they are supposed to be doing.

On the very rare occasion that I have a few days (or more) rest, I usually feel mentally lethargic to start, but surprisingly fresh when my legs have warmed up.

    Pool day in the sunshine.

Beautiful and peaceful with a visit to the pool every 45mins to cool off.

    Paradise.
