I've never done this but I think it goes up to Glossop Low via Windy Harbour Hotel and then Blackshaw Farm, following the vehicle tracks to the stone shelter at the top, before descending via Torside Clough and then a long slog back along the Longdendale Trail

Doesn't go down Torside now Marko, comes back over Cock Hill and the quarry. Too short for you anyway. What happened at the Bullock Smithy?

it avoids the L Trail... see Grouse response earlier. Quite a good race - steady climb then steady descent... avoid OAP drivers near the finish (speaking from experience)

Don't forget you have to do the coal race afterwards - or it doesn't count.

The Redgate Coal Race begins at 5pm, with men carrying a 25kg bag of coal and women a 10kg bag, while running 150m up Glossop’s steepest hill with a one-in-four gradient.
