Parking in Keswick for the BG

On Mon 10th I'm hoping to park at Keswick and backpack for a few days following the BG route to form my first complete round reccie.

Any suggestions please about where one can leave a car for a few days in Keswick? Presumably the pay and display car parks won't cope with multi-day parking, so was thinking there may be some quiet side roads nearby?

You can usually find somewhere on one of the side streets off Penrith Road - Skiddaw St., Helvellyn St. etc.

The car park behind the old station was free of charge last time i was there. Turn up past Fitz Park towards the leisure centre and follow the road round to the car park entrance. I think it is at a mini rounabout. The leisure centre is on the right and the car park will be on your left.

you can also park on street on the road that goes up past fitx park and curves round the leisure centre.

Also Brundhome road,the Heads and the road near the Climbing wall.
