I can remember reading somewhere that doing resistance exercises just before a vaccination can boost the immune response. I had a Covid booster today, and before going I did 1 set of chin-ups and 1 set of press-ups, each to near failure - I might have been able to do 1 more of each - I did 3 and 18 respectively. Just for the record!

Hope you're benefitting from the boosted booster jab Mike.

Dumbbell bicep curls. 2 X 12.5 kg. Simultaneous lifting with both arms. Eccentric lowering. 1 min break between sets. Curl Reps were to failure, per set.

EMOM press-ups routine. 12 reps (floor to lock to floor) press-ups, every minute, for 10 minutes.

Secs remaining for each of the 10X 1 min sets.

    46 - 44 - 44 - 44 - 40 - 39 - 29 - 25 - 12 - FAIL!! GRrrrrH. Not sure what happened there. Too much Coronation fervour perhaps!

Interesting how just one rep more or less per set can lead to such a difference in performance.

6 chest to floor press-ups plus 2 chin-ups every 2 minutes for 16 minutes. I suspect I am not doing these often enough.

Another crack at the Sally-Up challenge. A rather pathetic 2 mins 12 seconds - worst yet! Think I need to focus more on eccentric aspects.

Licking my wounds and steering clear of press-ups today.

Off to visit friends for a week, so no posting until next week. I'll try and keep the core ex going, but when you're in someone else's home and they already think you're rather physical fitness obsessed (by their standards), sometimes it's prudent to endeavour to appear 'normal' - or struggle to attempt to any road

I can only admire your dedication to the cause Mossdog.

7 chest to floor press-ups plus 2 chin-ups every 2 minutes for 14 minutes. I upped the press-ups to even out the difficulty of the two exercises. I could have done another single chin-up, but not two.

I know I am not doing these often enough.

7 chest to floor press-ups plus 2 chin-ups every 2 minutes for 18 minutes. The 7:2 ratio seems about right in terms of when failure is imminent.

Not sure what happened to my earlier post today on this thread - off into the ether?

Anyway, dumbbell bicep curls, with a twist. 2 X 12.5 kg. Simultaneous lifting with both arms. Eccentric lowering. 2 mins break between sets, during which I did x( 10) reps of floor to lock to floor press-ups. Curl Reps were to failure, per set.

    22 (10) - 15 (10) - 12 (10) - 9 (10) - 9 (10) - 9 (10) - 8 (10)-
