    any one taking part on saturday, this is my first venture over this distance

    Yup, I'll be there.... looking forward to it. Recce'd the route over the Bank Holiday weekend and it's a classic... Most of the best bits of the Peak District wrapped up in one tiny package ;-)

    Forecast at the moment is for sunny, around 17 degrees and a v. light NE wind - pretty good, I'd say!

    I hear the entries are up on last year - around 200 this time.

    Have just put in my entry... has anyone got a detailed route map or GPS plot so I can do some recces?

    This gives you a very rough idea - http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/temples-bin/...f=high-peak-40 - it's only the check-points, but I'm sure you could work out your route from there.
