Thread: Arenig Fawr

I echo all that has been posted about yesterday's race with thanks to all helpers, particularly for the cakes
Unlike the men and boys, it 'twas but a lass who showed all the mature women behind a clean pair of heels
A race that I have wanted to do ever since Yianni took it on and I was not disappointed to find a real fell race over rough but (mainly) runnable terrain, free from paths and tourists. Unlike Tindersticks I found the descent much easier than the end of Cym Pennant as the heather was low, without the rocks. Best value in the Calendar.

Many thanks for the nice comments. Perhaps the fact that it is a tough race puts off some less ambitious runners. If there were requests for a short version, we could also run a race without CP3, tough but shorter. Yiannis

As usual refreshments and cake for all. Small prizes will be handed out at the finish line.

Just bumping this up, for this coming weekend ..... if you want a tough AM, this has to be considered.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

I'd be holding things up for the marshals if I tried to trog round!

Weather looks good though! See how I feel in the morning. Must go and stuff some paper into my shoes to dry them out

Best to start with damp shoes WH, they don't slacken up as you run. See you there!
