Quick note to warn dog owners. We got back from the race today and Beau dog had a very large tick embedded under his chin. Check over your pouches everyone as there were a lot of our lovely pets there today. Super race by everyone. Will put up some photos tomorrow :-)

MrRTS's 35th race of his 50@50. Loved it. Few Photos that I took here while up on Lingmell with Beau Dog. A brilliant traditionally organised race. Anyone that wishes to make a small donation to the Thomas Theyer Foundation please follow the link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Nigel-Jeff If you would like the original message me with your e-mail quoting the file number bottom left of the photo I will send you the original with none of the writing on. Well done everyone. Thank you to the organisers, helpers and super friendly Marshals. A special mention to Joss Naylor and his dog - lovely talking to you and fussing your dog.

Navigation skills required for this one - is it tricky route finding?

MrRTS verdict - you could do it on a clear day by keeping to the path as you leave Lingmell. There are a lot of super marshals on the summit (no one between the start and the summit though except supporters). However, if you want a good line off the path you will need navigation. Another however is, if the clag is down don't do it if you don't have a map and compass and know how to use it. You could end up anywhere if you get isolated in poor visibility :-)
    Brilliant race :-)

Hmmm, I'm a bit undecided. My nav is basic - good enough to keep me safe, not necessarily good enough to guarantee I'll end up back where I started in poor visibility. And I've never been up there when visibility has been anything other than bobbins!

    Thanks for the info.
