Longish fast run out, short sharp climb up on to the moor. Good run round the moor - some on track some on boggy trods, and then back down the very slippery descent to the fast run in.
Great day for this race with the first frost of the year melting away. Expansive views of a sunny, autumnal Wharfedale from the top. In honour of it now coming under the FRA we were blessed with the attendance of the legendary Darren Fishwick, who gave the race his seal of approval. Then we went on to discuss bad music initiated by the fact that the race starts from what used to be a mental health hospital - The lunatics have taken over the asylum. My eighth running of this and I get progressively slower each year, but it's still a great race.
