Went to the 57 mile checkpoint at midnight and a few of the early starters coming through. Fastest about 131/4 hours I think. Then Jez Bragg turned up - having started 4 hours later - looking like he was out for a 5 mile jog. Bear in mind he won the 100k road championship last Sunday . Likes his scoff though, full cooked breaky and everything else he could shovel down.
Just met fellshoeshuffler briefly. Been flagged down by loads of kids in cars and vans looking for a 'rave' somewhere about here . I need some sleep now

Just got up and the Missus phoned.
Jez is flying through, gaining speed and expected to finish about 11.00. I need to get to the finish to see him in. He started at 14.00hrs. by the way.

A couple of team mates were partaking........what has the weather been like?
Just home for a couple of hours. Volunteered for the job of sweeping over the Elan Valley section after dark (+ bogs, rain and tussocks) Can't wait to get out and chivvy them along.
Worst of the weather held off till late morning. Wet and miserable now, but not as bad as expected. Load of walkers comeing through the 75 mile mark (29 hours), all looking a bit wet, miserable, fed up and mostly limping.
Jez slowed up and cruised in at 22 hours. Interestingly majority of first 10 finishers were the older and experienced looking entrants, rather then the young and fast looking.

Thanks Molehill. Good on you for getting out there, I'm sure it's much appreciated.
Having done the '100' twelve times previously, my thoughts are with those hardy souls this weekend in what (here anyway) is awful weather.
Keep going, you're nearly there

Thinking of doing the WHite bear way on the 16th, any info other than 'the moors around anglezarke' would be greatly appreciated.
Are you still thinking of doing it Graeme? And want the info? I did it in 2002 and can dig out the checkpoints if you want. Can't really remember what it was like (other than nice - like most of them!)
