There will be plenty of people to follow Graeme. If you do decide to recce a good way is to start half-way round at Pym Chair car park and do the second half first. The dismantled railway line can be used to bypass the start/finish area but it was under water a couple of weeks ago!

Wednesday, the day after the Howgills? Or Friday, the day before the relays?

Slight variation to the finish this year Jolly Beggar, chopping off that nasty road descent and sending you through some fields. It's all on the map. If you are who I think you are, you'll know the area well.

It's a good runnable route. But, it's a good idea to save a bit of energy for the last climb up Berry Clough.

Yes I plan to do it this year for the first time. I notice the course has changed a bit from last year. Does anyone know how much it has altered? And how much faster/slower are mid-field times expected to be?

It just the bit at the end, I think, where it goes via Shay Lodge instead of straight down the road. Can't imagine it making a significant difference in times.

It should be a lot easier on the soles of the feet though.
