Clive,
You interested in the 10 toughest tri competition in 2008?
I think Helvellyn and Wensleydale are on it, can't remember which you did...
How did you get on at Ben, or did you not do it?
Why walk when you can run.
Hi, thought somewhere I'd put a link to my blog, but here it is....

Still awaiting my results (due to dibber, have been promised this weekend) but think I was about 40th/60ish. About 9h45m.
Helvellyn certainly interests me as does Wensleydale again next year.
Are you up for any of them? Did you do any this year, can't remember?

Good write up, sounds a fun event which I would like to try. Currently I swim once a week, about 20 to 30 *25m lengths (30 mins) and cycle once a week for an hour covering about 10-12 miles, including 700' of ascent. I run 3 or 4 times a week, off road as much as possible total running about 25 miles/week with 4000' of ascent.
As an example this gives me a Ben Nevis time of 2 1/2 hours....so any idea how much swim & bike training you need to be able to cope with the cut offs?
My swimmings not good as I need to stop every 3 or 4 lengths for a breather .
