And I'm not surprised your legs are sore, Mr. Tortoise, you had a superb run at Gt. Whernside - well done! (Certainly nothing like a tortoise.) Congratulations on becoming this year's Pennine FR Champion! Just hope you show the same form in the relays on Saturday (shame you weren't with us last weekend, too).
Cheers GeoffB, looking forward to post relay pint!!

The feet in the bucket of cold water straight after each run treatment on Tortoise's advice certainly helped sort my tendonitis last year too.
Tao begets one. One begets two. Two begets all things.

Quite likely Daz - the 'tortoise' was 2nd at Lad's Leap and you'll meet him on Saturday.

    oh okay mr B
but on the cold water note, my hosepipe is always uncoiled like a snake lying on the garden, brilliant in summer but not as easy to do in winter. Jo my next door neighbour really gives out some funny looking looks when she sees me doing my legs

On an old thread there was an interesting chat about usefulness of using a stiff brush on legs post exercise. Recently it's been stated that acupuncture works because it encourages blood to collect at the point of needle insertion. Seems that the brush idea will do the similar work , by stimulating blood to visit a particular part of the body.

I assume most of you have sedentary jobs i work anything between 8-12 hrs a day and am on my feet for most of that time plus i run often twice a day but always once a day, and from reading these posts it seem six hours on your feet is considered a long time, maybe it is my job that allows me to run things like the WHW without any real suffering or long term stiffness.

I agree the cold becks, rivers lochs tarns etc can help post race

I know what you mean John.I'm on my feet all day using different muscles and this must help me.
My brother never used to train at all and kept up with me if the races were just after lambing time. Makes you realise how naturally conditioned Joss Naylor is.
