    Question Good Lakes route suggestion?

A mate and I are going to run in the Lakes on Saturday and I'm looking for ideas for a good 'round' or 'horseshoe' to tackle. 15 miles with reasonable amount of climbing would be about right.

Kentmere would have been good, but I walked it a couple of months ago.

    Ideas welcome.

I don't think there's anywhere in the Lakes that fits that description

Do the Langdale horseshoe. From the ODG up Pavey Ark(c) rest of the pikes, Bowfell Crinkles and Blisco. Good day out.

In that case, you might want to get up there then....

Cheers. Langdale sounds like a good idea.

I did one the other week that i sort of made up from Braithwaith- up by the side of barrow to the col between sail and causey pike drop down the back side and then up to knott rigg along that to you drop to Newlands Hause up moss force then Robinson Hindscarth Dale head drop to Tarn then High spy Mainden moor Cat bells then drop to Skelgill on left HS then pick up the river back to Braithwaite. i don't know how far it is i just set off and thought it was a good route took me about 4.5 hours i think, i did not even time it just felt
    Going to try again....

Another one i like is to start/finish at Kirkstone, taking in Red Screes, Dove Crag, Fairfield, St Sunday, then down and up to Boardale Hause and High Street and back over Caudale Moor.

That's about 15 and has quite a lot of climbing in it. Mentally, it's tough starting off again up to Boardale Hause but that's part of the training too

    Wherever you go, enjoy!

Hey Goosey, there's a nice little circular route starts from Keswick if you've got a couple of hours to kill. I'll tell you all about it one day!!!!!

That's a variation on another of my initial ideas. It's currently looking like it's going to be Langdale or a High St route.

    Will do, cheers.
