i've just picked up a cold and i seem to get a about 2 or a 3 year, thought about taking multivitamins but never got round to it,do they help?
p.s sorry for the thread hijack
I've had it as well - no problems with it all. In fact, last year I ran to and from the docs to get it!
You obviously need to put it in your forward planning diary daz if it's that predictable!
Not quite the same thing here as I am not talking about someone who was a runner but my grandma had not had flu for 10 years + but had the jab on the advice of her doctor. Then got flu (or 'side effects' or whatever!) and regretted! Maybe depends how suseptable you are to this kind of thing.
i had the jab at work, no side effects except for an achy shoulder for a few hours. i'm pretty sure the vaccine is in-active virus so you dont get flu symptoms
So - who's had their jag? Mine's is next wednesday....
Had mine,
God it was awful, I have been bedridden ever since.
Serioulsy though, no probs at all
I went running that night and I was fine, apart form not being able to sleep I had no other ill effects.
That was last monday, I have not slept since.

hell - not had mine yet - keep putting it off. colds I can handle ester c and echinacea it's gone in 24 hours but I'm puffing on this damned inhaler every day now with the damp chilly weather drawing in.
J - have you really had it and were you really ok??? I don't want another year of having to miss the tour cos my chest is heaving and I'm coughing up carp!!
