    Fell shoes life expectancy

How many miles do you expect out of yours pressuming minimul tarmac useage before studs are worn enough to be ineffective or uppers rip/part company with lower parts of the shoe?
I have only clocked about 250-300 on my Innov8's and they are starting to fall apart, soles probably have another 50-80 in them before requiring the services of LSR. Just wondered what sort of mileage others get from their shoes, not just Innov8's.

Getting near 400 or so is good going.

I get 250-350, really. That's in my Walsh PB's in Snowdonia, so rough terrain.

Over 1000 in the last pair and the ones I had on yesterday completed 900 on the way past Big End!
(Maybe that's why I fell over in Ogden Clough!)

Depends on the terrain I'd guess. I use mine in Snowdonia so they face a lot of rocky terrain, but I'd imagine on grassy terrain or softer trails like in the peak as long as you washed them regularly to avoid the Peat rotting them they'll last longer.

I've trashed a pair of brand new Walshes on the Ben. I pronate badly, bought a pair before the race and put them in the bin after.

I reckon that my Inov8's have done about 800 miles....... and are completely trashed to be honest; the grips have worn badly and completely in places, a white platic layer has been exposed in one of the heels and the uppers have a couple of cracks. I have done road running with them which hasn't helped and although 80% has been off road, alot of the tracks in the Dales are broken rubble or solid rock

I need to get by until Christmas if I can as a new pair will make an obvious present for me from Mrs Stolly.
