    OK, yeah, I thought that too, but the document they sent me through was a very old scan so it was quite obvious from the original document that it was out of date.

    We used to marshal that one .It was meant to be an unguided walk!
    It was stopped due to the risk of members of the public possibly walking off the black ladders etc in the clag.
    Also getting marshals up on the carneddau in time , called for some fun nights camping up .
    It was called the Carneddau challenge oddly enough , in aid of Kidney research - funny as all the planning meets and debriefs were in the pub : )
    I'm sure we could marshal/organise a running version.But not get it
    confused with the Carneddau Race.

    Did runners get bussed out to Ogwen from the start or vice versa?

    Yes , the walkers (!) registered at the fairy glen and were bussed around.
    The route changed over the years to starting at Rachub and later Aber to minimise the risk and attract more sponsed walkers.
