I'll be there

this will be my 5th Anniversary Fell Race, so quite a landmark
[did I hear that the pub has changed into a Thai restaurant?!]

Scramble the rock face through the glare of morning sun — to run
We can look forward to severe gales according to early weather reports.
Luke Appleyard (Wharfedale)- quick on the dissent
Anyone else hear this mentioned on Nicky Campbell on 5live on Friday morning (topic: what 'other' sports events will you be attending this weekend?)
Hope all my pennine team-mates enjoyed the last race of the club champs (and no-one overtook me on the leaderboard...)!

They seemed to. You can watch them on my blog here.
...and work out who's beaten you.
Were you there, MrB? Which club do you run for? I'll try to spot you from the video.
Noel, nice video. Altough I am still internaly-debating whether I prefer the old 'wind-over' style to the new 'voice-over' style given the amount of 'go Pennine' in there.
All, if one (you) could do a pit-stop to change from footwear (e.g. from trail / road to fell) at the first gate, or alternatively at the point where the first hill intersects with the second hill (maybe 2 x changes, there and back, I guess), how fast would the pit stop need to be to make it worthwhile? I ran in trail shoes and lost ground and several positions between Big Stones and the start of the second (last) climb, but regained most of them on the second climb and flew down the descent gaining a few more. But still, I felt I had made the wrong choice of footwear.
Hope that makes sense.
Right, off to gate crash the Minshull's for a snifter (ifthere is ouwt left!)
PS. Many thanks to RO (Wayne & Rose). This is one race where I would gladly do it all again tomorrow (maybe in Walshes?) if it werent a Monday (work)!
