    Coley Canter

Just been checking the CVFR website and notice that this still has date TBA. I know its usually sometime between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve but have any of you Calder Valley members out there got inside information on the date yet?

    cheers

The provisional date is the 30th December at 11:00am

please re-check the CVFR site in the next few days to confirm these details as they just depend on the hall availability at present

    Cheers Ben.

Hoping to get there as much preferable to competing against 700+ runners in the other CC (Chevin Chase) on Boxing Day.

Why not do both? There are 4 days to recover. Then the second CC will be nice little warm-up for the Auld Lang Syne, followed by the Giant's Tooth. That should leave you in great shape for Ovenden.

...I wish!!! - after my injury problems I'm being over-cautious for once- 1 race every 4 week (approx) until Spring, so just Gravy Pud & this in December.

Anyway, now confirmed as 30 December.

If only I could I'd be running up that hill with no problems....

'Breathing' is the key. Especially on the climb up to Wuthering Heights.

Good to see Manhar at the Canter today. A great little race on a sneaky route of Karl Gray's that links together a variety of woodland trails and field tracks.
Enough mud to raise a smile and enough ascent to raise a slight grimace.
Were any other forumites in attendance? If so, sorry to have missed you.

Forgot to mention that Stringman was there too. (I think of him as a clubmate rather than a forumite.) Sorry Stringman!

...bet the ascent up the steps etc. after the stream crossing at top end of Jagger Park woods was luvly and muddy today .

Shame I couldn't make it, think I'll have to stop starting new threads in the races sections if injury (or recovering from) is going to stop me running on the day
