Its a great route...
UNLESS there is a strong westerly blowing, in which case the miles from bolton castle to the finishe become VERY tedious!!
Sadly Im at a conference in london, or I would have been there too!
I'll be having a trot round - ideal training for RR50 (& Y100!)
Just worked out what time I have to leave in the morning to get to this one. Nearly changed my mind!!! (I need to leave the house at 6am) Trust it will be worth it. Look out for me in a blue buff, running very slowly.
Cracking do this! Well done to Nidderdale LDWA group for usual fab organization and catering. Looked out for you Socks but arrived with minutes to spare and first three folks I saw all had blue Buffs on! Was very glad of mine plus gloves in the snow
I didn't have much time to spare either - got there at 7.45. Bit of a rush! Some horrendous weather for the first part (slightly reminiscent of Edale...). And running on snow! Parts where I couldn't see anyone in front or behind. You could imagine how lovely it would be with the sun out - think I'll have to go back to appreciate it properly.
Just thought would mention this (for pure selfish reasons) 23miles from Askrigg, North Yorkshire, with a good turnout of runners last year, so am told. I've not done it before and don’t know the way, so the more runners the better (that know it!) - so i can follow someone! Weather forecast looking ok for Sunday so far.
I've made up a map that's hopeful near enough, if anyone wants it? let me know.
Chris - it's a relatively easy one to follow
