Two or three inches in Loughborough.

Loads again here in Wildboarclough near Buxton. Again, the fields blown clear and all the snow hiding in large drifts in our garden. The vestiges of the last load had only just melted about a day ago. I'm a bit bored of it now. It was the WI spring fair yesterday!!

About 1 cm here in Ambleside - still snowing lightly now but it is being blown around - Wansfell Pike looks like it has several cms on it, though Todd's Crag looks relatively clear.

In the western peak the fields and tops are pretty bare but there's some mega drifts in the lanes and in the lee of hills. One track was co pletly innundatedd, hip deep at best and over head-height drift covering most of it. Impressive patterns on the dry stone walls where the wind has blowwn snow through as well!

Up to four or five inches deep when I got up this morning. And whose trails were those across my back garden? Foxes, I presume.

Went up Wansfell yesterday - jolly cold wind - some small drifts of snow but most of it had been blown off, and even Wetherlam looked relatively snow free. Used micro spikes on the descent - at times I had to stop every few steps to clear the grass/ice from the spikes/chains, but I would not have wanted to be without them.

Just typical. Blew in just in time to knacker our last counter race for the South Wales Winter league. I had been psyching myself up for weeks!
And Tor Y Foel is one of my favourite races too.
