Never tried Sealskinz myself but my daughter bought a pair for skiing and she said they were excellent; much thinner than the usual skiing glove but with excellent protection from cold and wet!

Sealskinz gloves are great. I had cold hands with my ordinary gloves which were wet, changed for dry sealskinz and they were lovely and toasty. Feel a bit clumpy at first but you get used to them.

I'm thinking of trying a pair of these, got really cold hands on Broad crag on Saturday night, was expecting snow but got sleet instead my gloves and mitts got soaked.

    Which pair do you have?

I have the pair which are like the socks:

And find them awful for long runs, my hands seem to get even colder, I like the socks, but the gloves just havn't impressed me.

I've had the same problem with my SealSkinz Ian ! I thought it might be because they are a tad tight but I cant afford to change them just as the moment. They are waterproof but my finger ends get cold very quickly.
If you cant change something, change the way you feel about it !

I've said it before try mitts, not only that they are very easy to put on and take off. On the skyline this year there were a number of runners who struggled to put there gloves on because there hands were already too cold.

you don't have to worry about them being too tight and cutting off your circulation.

the gloves shrink if washed!!!! So mine no longer fit ....

Do none of you believe in protecting your crown jewels ?

Best bit of winter gear I ever bought are my Helly Hansen Windbriefs with protective windproof panel .

I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.
