bad luck here. Either I get a club place or travel to Paris. My wife has never been in London nor in Paris, so for her is just the same. Apart that Paris got better food ...

What's wrong with the Paris marathon ?

My mate raved about Paris and i think there's a marathon in Burgundy where you get wine at the drinks stations :my kind of race!!

Got my FLM 2008 confirmation yesterday. Hope it's not el scorchio like this year...
Ran my last 2 HM's in 1:17 and 1:16, so hoping sub 2:45 is on the cards for 2008.

What's wrong with the Paris marathon ?

It's got all the drawbacks of a big city marathon (getting hemmed in behind other runners for the first miles, badly-organised expo, too many other runners) without the advantages (big crowds to cheer you on, flat PB course). I ran it twice in the 90's, never again.
Go to Paris for a weekend, it's great, but don't go there to run the marathon.

It's full for 2008 anyway. Do Annecy Marathon if you don't get in to London, that's my plan, and it's the same day.
