to Capel Curig (30 peaks done!)

Arenigs and Arans and Rhinogs to come!
    sounds good on paper,
you could include Carnedd y Filiast.
some of the sections could be quite difficult to do though, like ,the section from Mynydd Mawr to Moel Eilio ,the section from Cwm pennant to Craig Goch would be a Hell of a slog so too would the bit from Pen y Helgi Ddu to Creigiau Gleision(all that heather)
it deffo would be a hell of a challange though

There's also Crimpiau as you descend from Craig Wen to Capel Curig, it's on the path so you'd go over it anyway.

You are probably better off coming off Mynydd Mawr and up to Moel Cynghorien then to Moel Eilio, that way you can also do Cefn-Du, but there's good paths up that way. I'm not sure what access is like up the back side of Moel Eilio.

As said on the Glyders you can add Carnedd Y Filiast with minimal neight loss, and Y Foel Goch, the advantage of that is you miss out that horrible descent gully off Glyder Fach. You could also include Castell y Gwynt as a peak which is supposedly being considered as the 16th 3000er.

There's also Gyrn on the Hebog>Nantlle ridge section.

Agreed - last time I went up past the old mine it was severely taxing!

On the Nantlle ridge it may be better to go up out to Y Garn first, then back to Garnedd Goch then over to Mynydd Mawr, but access was always a real issue in the valley, no idea if that's changed with CRoW.

This is the forum at its best! A living reference source. Thanks so much for all these points. This round will be moulded and shaped as we go.
Although I have not thought about it in detail, the next bit is planned to go to Siabod, then cut to the east of Blanau Ffestiniog to get to the Arenigs, Rhobell Fawr, the Arans then Waun Oer/Cader/Rhinogs reserving our favourite Moel Oh-My-God as the final summit before our return to OBW Hall.

Will take me ages to recce it all on my own as I have to do 'out and back' each time - but will enjoy the days out even if I never manage the 24 hour round.

The 50 sounds good, but not sure I really want to traipse round the Snowdon-ruddy-horseshoe yet again. Be good to incorporate the less popular areas and peaks.
Meirionnydd: There is a chance that Rob Woodall ([[email protected]]) and Steve Cliff will have a go at this round next year. Rob is organising recceing on 8/9th Dec. I have the Calderdale Way relay so I can possibly only make Sat. It is worth dropping Rob a line.

As I'm aiming to do the Tour Du Mont Blanc next year, I'll leave the Merionydd for now. I also don't think I can get to know the land well enough to attempt so soon. Looks significantly harder than the Paddy Buckley. I'll keep recceing sections as I intend to have a go at some point but I only want to rounds that I would be able to navigate myself around.

OK, I think it is coming clearer now.
Basically, do the Paddy Buckley without Snowdon but adding a loop around the northen Carneddau.
    Additional summits are:

Moel Ddu (first summit after OBW Hall).

Then, a loop from Carnedd Llewellyn:

    Yr Elen
    Gyrn Wigau
    Drosgl
    Bera Mawr
    Garnedd Uchaf
    Foel Goch

Subtracting the 5 summits on the Snowdon Horseshoe,

    This gives my 50 summits.

I still have Mynydd Tal y Mignedd and Carnedd Y Filiast in hand if we want to argue about some of the lesser pimples on the PB route.
