Mine isn't waterproof for longer than half an hour and they don't have taped seams so strictly speaking aren't admissible as waterproof kit, it's a good shower resistant windproof though.

Tried the inov8 Mistlite, but no way will the sleeves push up. The Atomic is coming up favourite so far...

it's a good make and a good bit of kit and not too dear

I've got the trousers and if I didn't already have a Marmot Mica jacket (also recommended), I'd get the jacket too

You should try the marmot preclip as well.

I find its a better fit than the Atomic, hood gives you more protection.

Find them both not very breathable though.

If I was getting a jacket for short (2-3 hour) races I'd be inclined to go for a H2O lightspeed.

If you want something for more extreme conditions I'd look at the Rab or Montane Event jackets, I got my Montane Event for around £100 but they do weigh more.

Since I've got a Haglofs OZ I don't use anything else, its by far the lightest jacket I've got but I do lots of 8-12h runs in all weathers year round so could justify the price. :sneaky:

I find Event works better than Gortex but the OZ is less than half the weight of my Montane Event Jacket.

    Re: waterproof jacket - help?

Just picked up a Montane velocity DT to cover me for both winter on the fells and cycling, following the reviews on here.
After a bit of negotation we settled on £60 cash. A bargin I'd say.
    So I bought a pair of 290 mudroc's £45 another bargin.

    Waterproof Jacket

Which waterproof jacket would be considered better, at the moment I,m stuck between the Omm Kamleika or a Montane Atomic DT, your thoughts would be appreciated.
