Chris Near's round was not last weekend but on 30th May, so everyone probably knows about it already.
Noticed that on the Ramsay site finishers list. Impressive!! Very few RR's this year compared with last - as yet. Seriously impressive time, solo and more or less on-sight with first section in clag. RespectOriginally Posted by stevebirkinshaw

Bad luck to Chris I know how he feelsWell, nothing made it onto the forum but at least the technology works. A direct SMS feed into the forum would be neat.
Sad to say Chris didn't make it round, due to nausea problems which finally stopped him on Binnein Beag. He certainly pushed Yiannis and me hard on Sec 1 tho; I had a great day out. Weather, after a grey drizzly morning, was dry by the start and warm throughout - maybe a bit too warm on the climbs, perhaps.

Anne Johnson's RR attempt did not materialise. After having postponed the start from Saturday to Sunday morning, on the way to the start, she and her team found themselves assisting in a fatal car crash that had happened shortly before in a road full of debris from the torrential rain. By the time they gave evidence to the accident investigation, it was too late to start. The weather was not much better than the day before either, so they decided to call it a day.
I hope you are not too disappointed Anne, you will get plenty of support next year.
