Beamsley Owl Event

I am organising another timed training run for the darksiders.
The Date - Wed night 16th Jan. 08
The Time - 7.30pm
Meeting place - Swan Inn Addingham
One checkpoint at the trig point of Beamsley Beacon.
Approx 5.5 miles, Sorry no bikes as the top of Beamsley is footpath only.
There will be a Guess your time entry costing £1.00.Bottle for the winner.
The run is open to all runners even if you dont wish to be timed but just want to have a social run in the dark !!!
Last year everybody seemed to pick the same route with slight deviances due to error.
Hope to see all previous Owlers there.
We are having a run up Beamsley next Wed night 12th Dec. at 7.00pm from the Swan at Addingham if anybody fancies a run up. (nice and steady!!!)

Will try to get to your recce on Weds Grifter - planning on doing the Owl run but dont know that area at all. Probably be my only chance to have a look before the event given festive season & holidays, would like to at least have an idea where it go's. I'll see if I can interest the Barley Badgers - it seems that most dont travel too well!!

Got it in my diary ~ looking forward to it. We have some friends who live in Addingham so I can drop the missus off to chat then she can drive me back home after the pub ~ great !

Its an excellent pub. We did a recce last week and the landlord treated us to 4 or 5 free portions of chips (after the run of course) He says he will do likewise for the Owl Event !!!!
I believe it was Also Rans first time up Beamsley Beacon !!!!!!
