Does anyone actually use the stirrups on Ron Hills? I always leave them flapping around my ankles and wonder if I should cut them off.

Never. Whenever I tried to use them they cause the trousers to sag slowly.

I've not brought myself to cutting them off though

Always. I find they make for a snug fit and stop them flapping around when on the mountain bike.

I've had Tracksters for years and there still going strong;a good investment ? You bet. I have moved to lycra but it remains to be seen how long they last.

I've had some Karrimor tracksters for about 6 years for winter use, similar to Ron Hills but slightly more sporty looking although they have a few barbed wire holes in I hope to get at least another 2 years out of them.

I ran the Stoop today wearing Ronhill DXB tracksters complete with stirrups. Did the job in bitter weather.

Wouldn't wear them if it was very boggy though.

    Re: Ron Hill Tracksters

As some one commented earlier aI think they ar bit dated now.

When I worked for a well known outdoor reatailer about 20 years ago we had to go to a ski test in the Alps. Around 20 managers, 5 Buyers and a few free loading directors turned up at Gatwick early one Sat morning and I would say that about 19 turned up in Ron Hills!!! The Shame.... Thankfully times have moved on.

I have a few pairs of the cheap Decathelon lycra 'shorts' to be honest at that price you can't go wrong, the seems are crap though and I've repaired them countless times but for a few pounds...

I bought some Nike lycra shorts about two years ago (£9) which have been brilliant but which I left on the roof of my car after a night run and drove off...gutted. I've since bought a pair of saucony shorts for racing.
