Just finished that and it is good. Got 'In Kinder's Mists' today which is mentioned somewhere on the forum. Not running but set on Kinder and relates to a lot of the crash sites and landmarks.

Oh, and the Bible - that's a good book. Endurance events and mountain running... err the Exodus and Moses going up Mount Sinai...

I'm part way through reading The Wild Places by Robert Macfarlane. So far so good. Not a running theme but still relevant.
Not sure about 'In Kinder's Mists': a bit short and a bit wordy but I quite enjoyed it - all set on Kinder ( doh!)... er... in the mist, aircraft n' stuff.

As recommended earlier in this thread I got " Running through the wall -personal encounters with the Ultramarathon " .A reasonable read -if all American If anyone else would like to have it I can post it on as I've finished with it .
