Being on my third glass, I'm fairly sure that now is the moment I can face doing the rest of the decorations.

The 8-foot inflatable polar bears outside were easy, and the (fashionably over-sized) tree was manageable once beaten into shape with teeth and some small children.

The hanging-dangly things are another matter though. Think tandoori-house chic, only not quite so understated.

The step-ladder* is in the shed though, so I'm going to manage with standing on a folding chair and a stack of cushions**.
