    Trollers 24 - Yorkshire Dales

I noticed some asking for details of the above ldwa event on Sat 1st March.
Start(finish) from Threshfield nr Grassington, Hetton over Bardon Moor, up trollers gill (nr Appletreewick), back down to the river Wharfe, through Burnsall then up to Threshfield. Mostly good tracks, few bogs and so good for running times (some mud). I did it couple of years ago and hope to do it this.

You will have to pm me if you want a map as i cant get a copy on here. It includes cps and route but bear in mind it is from memory

Also known as the Trollers Trot, I believe. Last year I remember staggering back into Threshfield, jogging along the lane to where I thought the run/walk had started, and wondering why there was no one to be seen anywhere! Strolled into the school, eventually, and, in case you are running it for a time, your finish is when you clock in at the organisers' table in the big room. It's a lovely route.

This looks good; I go up that way on my bike all the time but haven't run round there yet. If anyone fancies a recce beforehand over the coming weekends let me know!

I hope to do this one. All part of the grand plan to get me ready for calderdale Hike (34m) in April. Don't think I'll get chance to recce though which means pace will be very slow, instead of just slow.

Euph - if you have me with me it wont be navigation slowing you down, it will be my slow legs. Hoping to fix that over the next couple of weeks and rest well before TT so hopefully should have a better crack at it then i did Rombalds

I'm considering on the Cald Hike, would you have a route map? Is it mainly on good tracks? I've seen the web site and got the check points but could do with a map. incidently, i have the trollers mapped out if you want it? its all good paths/tracks

chris - You probably know as much as me, if not more, re. Calderdale Hike. No route map of it yet but I'm going to try and search one out. I read somewhere on another thread that it comes up a bit short of the 34 (small mercy).

Clairster - I won't be in any hurry and I'm sure you'll be fine again for this one. A bit steadier than Rombalds is on the cards for me as I want to make a getaway at the end without seizing legs to slow me down.
