Thread: Walsh Elite

    Re: Walsh Elite

I got a pair of the new PB Elite Trainers having loved the old ones, but find that both my heels are sore after wearing them - not blister or bruising sore, it feels like the skin and flesh on the very back of my heel has been stretched, a bit wierd.

These were from Sportshoes Unlimited in early January - don't be fooled by the photo on the web site, they have the new stock in! The shop even had a pair of the old ones on display (though not in my size) but had new ones in the boxes. Good price though, £44

This might be of interest to someone, http://www.runnerssports.co.uk/home.php had 2 pairs of old PB trainers in a week a go. 1 size 9 and 1 size 11 and I'm sure they were only £41 to clear as well.

My Glads are still going well after 680 miles and 480 miles.

Just been out in them again and they aren't as good as the old one, they feel too rigid and they seem to feel as tight on the feet as the old ones, i had them as tight as they would go and they just don't seem it fit right.

I'm not giving up on them yet, I'll keep them for shorter runs and see if they improve.

I think the problem with the Elite is the lacing, I just can't get them on my feet as tight as the old PBs.

I've had problems with my last two pairs of Extreme Trainers. They seem to have a seam right down the back of the heel cup, which presses in the middle of my heel - it may be the cause of the soreness Bhundu Boy describes. Mine were irritating me so much I rooted out a pair of my old retired PB Racers. Ahh, Bliss.

Come on Walsh, you've got to do better! The old PB Trainer was an excellent all-round fell shoe, why discontinue it? Production could be continued indefinitely as the "PB Classic". I'd buy it..... especially at a 'classic' price

Even better, bring back the old PB Racer - like running in bare feet with studs on!
