Boy, I wish people would believe medical science sometimes.
That's taking it a bit too far. If you have a bad diet, have no sleep, and have close contact with people with colds you'll pick up more - so you have to admit at the least there are things some people can do to get less colds.

Personally my problem is catching colds off my children, and my remedy is to react better when I feel I'm catching a cold so that I don't get it as seriously. I used to keep on training hard until I collapsed and then I got the cold far worse.

I reckon my diet's OK... my sleep pattern is consistent - if knackered after work, I'll have a 'power nap' before going out training... possibly the problem is working in an open-plan office with Air-Con where the temperature is a bit erratic (they are 'looking into' this!) and there always seems to be someone in the department sniffling... some in the department have school age kids, but more don't... I can't think of anything different in the last year, to say, the year prior, when I was lucky enough not to get ANY colds. Maybe it's just bad luck...
Anyway, it seems to be on the mend and I'm going to do a light training session in the morning to see how I go... hopefully get fitter for the Nationals in 2 weeks...
